What is peaCTF?

peaCTF, Phillips Exeter Academy’s Capture The Flag, is a free online computer security competition for middle school and high school students! Teams of 1-5 competitors decrypt, hack, reverse engineer, and search for flags hidden in puzzles written by PEA students. Gaining points with each flag, participants compete for the highest score!

How does it work?

There are two rounds. In each round, you are given 8-10 problems of varying difficulty, each with a unique hidden flag. Once the flag is found, you submit it as a string and gain points! The top 30% of competitors advance to Round 2, but everyone can still solve through the problems!

How can I prepare?

During the competition, you can access the Internet to help you hack, decrypt, and reverse. But, as Alexander Graham Bell says, preparation is the key to success. There are practice problems available from picoCTF!
